Medical Stays in London — Comfortable, Private, Close to the Hospitals That Matter
Two-bedroom Thames-view apartments for 2–8 week stays. From £4,800/month — typically ~30% below an equivalent-location hotel twin over 30 nights. 5★ Superhost.

Who this is for
Built around long clinical visits
Typical use cases we hear from guests. We are not a medical service — just a quiet, well-run apartment near the hospitals.
Typical use case
Patients travelling to London for planned treatment
Oncology, cardiology, orthopaedic, fertility — patients who need a comfortable base for the days and weeks around treatment, with a full kitchen for prescribed diets, a quiet bedroom for recovery, and reliable WiFi for telemedicine follow-ups with their home physician.
Typical use case
Parents of paediatric patients at Great Ormond Street
Families supporting a child through treatment, who need two real bedrooms rather than a hotel twin — so siblings or a grandparent can stay close without crowding. A kitchen to cook familiar food matters when nothing else feels familiar.
Typical use case
Families accompanying a patient through surgery and recovery
Spouses, adult children and carers who plan to be in London for two to eight weeks around a complex procedure. A living room to sit together, a workspace for the person continuing their job remotely, and laundry on site so the stay feels like a home, not a waiting room.
Typical use case
Returning follow-up visits (6–8 week post-op checks)
Patients flying back for scheduled reviews who already know the city and want the same apartment, the same bed and the same quiet street as last time. We hold calendars months in advance for returning guests where we can.
Apartment vs hotel
Why a serviced apartment, not a hotel
| Serviced apartment (us) | Hotel | |
|---|---|---|
| Stay length | Designed for 7–90 nights | Designed around nightly turnover |
| Cost of long stay | From £4,800/month — e.g. 30 nights ≈ £160/night | Central London hotel twin typically £200–250/night × 30 = £6,000–£7,500 (indicative, not a guarantee) |
| Kitchen | Full kitchen — prepare prescribed, allergen-free or familiar meals | Minibar or room-service menu only |
| Laundry | In-unit washing machine | Paid hotel laundry per item |
| Privacy & quiet | Private apartment, no shared corridor, self check-in | Shared corridors, housekeeping knocks, lobby noise |
| Family space | Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room — carers and family stay together | Adjoining rooms usually cost nearly double, if available |

What guests say
We have not yet hosted a medical-stay guest publicly reviewed on this page. The reviews below reflect our general hosting standard.
“What a fantastic host, and what a fantastic place to stay. The view, looking at the city skyline over the River Thames, simply magnificent. Everything as described, everything worked as it should. Out of all the places we've stayed at in London this is by far our favourite. We hope to stay again in the future.”

Airbnb guest review
“Lovely 2-bed overlooking the Thames. Check-in was easy, Guray communicated well throughout. The apartment was clean and tidy, and had all the amenities required. About a 15 min walk from the tube station and 10 mins from Tesco Express.”
Beth
Airbnb guest review
“The apartment was just as described. WiFi worked great. Exceptional view over the Thames with Tower Bridge and St. Paul's just visible in the distance. Direct access to the Thames footpath was great. Walked back and forth to meetings at Canary Wharf.”

Practical FAQ
Questions we actually get
- Can I book for 6–8 weeks?
- Yes. The apartment is listed for short, mid and long-term stays, and we publish a monthly rate of £4,800 that kicks in on longer bookings. Tell us your treatment dates in the inquiry form and we will confirm the calendar and the exact weekly or monthly breakdown for your stay.
- Can I change dates if treatment shifts?
- Within reason, yes — subject to availability. Clinical calendars slip, and we try to be pragmatic about it. We cannot promise a free extension if the calendar is already booked with another guest, but in practice we find a way more often than not. Let us know as early as you can.
- Do you have step-free or lift access?
- There is a lift from the building lobby to our apartment floor, so you do not need to carry luggage up stairs. We cannot honestly claim a fully step-free journey from the street to the door for every mobility need — pavement, kerbs and building entrance all matter. Ask us and we will describe the exact layout.
- Can a carer or family member stay with me?
- Yes. The apartment has two king bedrooms and two bathrooms and sleeps up to four guests, so a carer, spouse or adult child can stay without needing a second booking. This is one of the reasons long-stay guests prefer a two-bedroom apartment to a hotel twin.
- Do you arrange airport transfer or hospital transport?
- No — we are an accommodation provider, not a transport service. For airport transfers most guests use Addison Lee, Uber, or a pre-booked private car. For hospital journeys TfL’s Jubilee Line, Elizabeth Line, and DLR are all a short walk from the building, and most hospitals can arrange patient transport directly.
- Is the building quiet for recovery?
- The bedrooms face away from the main road and most guests describe the building as calm in the evenings. We cannot promise total silence — this is central London — but the building is residential, self check-in means no lobby bustle at night, and housekeeping only enters on agreed clean days.
- What about special dietary needs?
- The apartment has a full kitchen — hob, oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine and full cookware. Waitrose Canary Wharf is the nearest large grocery and stocks a wide allergen-free and international range. For pre-arrival grocery delivery, Ocado and Sainsbury’s both deliver to the building.
- Can I pay on a healthcare insurance or corporate account?
- We can issue an invoice with a stable company VAT reference that most corporate and insurance accounts accept. Please check with your insurer first whether accommodation for medical travel is covered under your specific policy — that decision sits with your insurer, not us.
